Jim Brompton MPF is a long-time Fine Art Landscape and Nature Photographer and has owned his Photography business since 1978. He has had many images published in magazines such as Canadian Landscape Photographer, Photo Life, Nature Canada, Outdoor Canada, Canadian Sportsman, Western Sportsman, Angler, and many more.
He has received the prestigious Master in Fine Art designation from Master Photographers International and joins less than 100 in the world with that designation. In 2018 Jim’s work was nominated for Nature Photographer of the Year.
He is known as a master of understanding light and creates photographs that display incredible depth and detail.
He has work being sold by National Geographic Creative and currently holds the number one spot in a google search of Canadian Landscape Photography or Photographer.
Jim was the featured Artist in the 2017 Lake Country Art walk and finished in the top 12 people’s choice award. (a first for photography)
He owns the print lab that produces his work giving him total control over the finished product. Jim is available for commercial assignments and has recently completed assignments for the RBC and Hyatt Regency.
Jim is also a Kase filter Brand Ambassador as he prefers to use filters on the lens over post-production in photoshop.
Jim is an Arcteryx Pro Member, their clothes keep him dry and warm in the field and he would highly recommend them to anyone who spends anytime outside.
His camera of choice is a Canon 1ds Mark 3 and the new 5dsr with L Series lenses.
Steve Austin MPF captures ART through his lens. Whether the subject matter is in nature, people, or commercial promotions, the finished product is always that which evokes emotion and appreciation. With a background in fine arts and a love for nature, Steve’s work has brought life to the tourism, winery, architectural and corporate industries. He has received the prestigious Master in Fine Art designation from Master Photographers International and joins less than 100 in the world with that designation. For Steve, photography is a creative passion. The ability to capture a moment in time that evokes emotion is something he relates to deep in his soul.
A deep love and respect for nature offer Steve the opportunity to create imagery that becomes a fine art piece in many homes or offices. His unique use of light and angles changes the perspective on his subject matter that makes the viewer see more than meets the eye.
“I get great enjoyment in all aspects of photography each is completely different from another, I try to combine an organic flow to the images I create using light, lines, and motion to pull the viewer into the subject matter to create a story behind the image.”
Living in the Okanagan Valley allows great opportunities for nature and environmental photographs and portraits. Breathtaking lakes, wineries, and natural surroundings are natural backdrops. This helps wrap all my passions of capturing the perfect moment into one package. “I relate each moment to one that is like a setting sun, there will only be one time”.
