TOUR OVERVIEW

Join us for a photographic tour of the beautiful springtime in the Okanagan Valley. Orchards in bloom, lush fields of flowers combined with breathtaking vistas overlooking Okanagan and Kalamalka Lakes.

  • This photo tour will consist of spending two days and one night in the heart of the Okanagan Valley
  • We will be taking the time to capture City, Mountain, Orchard, and Lake Views based out of Kelowna British Columbia one of the jewel cities of Canada.
  • We will be visiting Vineyards, beaches, lake views and touring through the Central Okanagan Valley. We will spend several hours at Kalamalka Lake. National Geographic named it one of the 10 most beautiful lakes in the world to see.

In addition to great photo opportunities, there will be professional hands-on training catered to your specific requirements.

  • The total cost for this tour is $1600.00 and a deposit of $500.00 is required to hold your spot.

ITINERARY

Tours are subject to change depending on weather and other circumstances beyond our control. Changes in the itinerary are always made to provide the best possible experience for our clients. 

Day 1 : Approx 12 hours: Kelowna area cherry and apple orchards in the morning / Lunch / Knox Mountain/ Rotary Park/ Gyro Beach/ Sarsons Beach

7:00 am Meet at hotel lobby ADDRESS

Depart to.  CHERRY ORCHARD AND APPLE ORCHARD

8:00 Apple Orchard

OKANAGAN VALLEY IN THE SPRING, ORCHARDS IN BLOOM

10:00 Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Trees in Bloom

12:00 Lunch (not included in the price of the tour)

After Lunch depart to Knox Mountain

1:30 Knox Mountain.

Depart 3:30 to Rotary Marsh Wildlife Preserve

Depart 5:00 to Restaurants

6:30 pm Depart to sunset location (Rotary Beach Lakeshore Drive)

Day 2: Approx 12 hours: Wood Lake Kalamalka Lake views of the Monashee Mountains (Balsam Flowers) Lake Country Orchards and Flowers, Winery and Vineyards, Okanagan Lake

7:00am Meet at hotel lobby ADDRESS

Depart hotel 7:30 am to Wood Lake and Kalamalka Lake Areas

Wood Lake Springtime

8:00 am Wood Lake, beachfront viewpoint Lake Country B.C. continue to Oyama for views of Little White Mountain and then continue to Kaloya Park for views of Kalamalka Lake

10:00 am head to Kalamalka Lake with the spring flowers and additional 3 locations. National Geographic named it one of the 10 most beautiful lakes in the world to see.

11:30 am depart to Coldstream Valley viewpoint and views of Monashee Mountains

1:15 pm Lunch in Vernon B.C. at Diner on 6th (not included in the price of the tour) Homestyle food.

Depart 2:15 pm towards Lake Okanagan

2:35 pm The first stop is a Turtle Pond and a view of distant mountains.

3:30 pm Arrive Okanagan Lake Kopje Park

Depart 4:15 pm to ExNihilo Winery and Vineyards for winetastings and photograph the beautiful vines.

Harvest time at ExNihilo

5:30 pm depart to Okanagan Centre Beachfront

6:00 Return Kelowna, end of the tour

What is included All transportation to and from photographic locations, Expert photographic guidance. You are responsible for all your own food costs. We will have a supply of water and light snacks to keep your energy up Participants are responsible for their own accommodations, we are able to supply you with a list of recommended lodgings for your approval. See links at bottom of the page. On day 2 leave your baggage at the front desk if you are planning to check out of the hotel on that tour day.

What to expect

Be prepared for some light hiking with proper shoes, you will be experiencing uneven ground and some light hiking trails to reach some of the viewpoints on this tour 5-10 min hikes. Do not approach any wildlife.

Temperatures for this time of year can range from 5 C to 20 C bring appropriate clothing with the possibility of rain. Layers of clothing are best.

Camera, Camera bag, Tripod, Filters (Recommended) Camera instruction Manual, Small umbrella (Recommended), Sun Block  Batteries Memory cards Filters Cleaning cloths Headlamp, refer to equipment list on the home page.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Deposit non-refundable 90 days or less before the tour begins.
  • Trip fee balance due, 90 days before the tour begins.
  • Trip fee cancellation policy:
    – 60 to 89 days before the tour begins: 50% of the fee is non-refundable.
    – 59 or fewer days before the tour begins: 100% of the fee is non-refundable.
  • All refunds, due to participant cancellations, will be minus the associated Square expenses incurred by Okanagan Photography Tours.
  • All financial transactions are in Canadian Funds
